Transport Mofa+Gepäck: Dein Mofa kann mit unserem Bus von Hitzkirch transportiert werden (am Freitag),
Vom Luzernern HBH (am Samstag) – Rückfahrt (am Sontag). Mofas und einen Teil des Gepäcks kann mit unserm Bus bis Hitzkirch mitgegeben werden.

Transport Personen nach Bellinzona und zurück nach Luzern: Selbstständig – mit dem Zug, Auto, Heli, usw.

Um die Unterkunft und Verpflegung musst du dich selbst um kümmern. Aber keine Sorge, als Reisegruppe arbeiten wir zusammen, wir können eine Gruppenreservation machen.

TRANS CZECH TRAIL – Adventure/Enduro Töff

Am besten im Mai, Ende September-Oktober, unter der Woche

Der Trans Czech Trail ist eine 2.500 Kilometer lange Route durch und um die Tschechische Republik. Die Strecke ist für Abenteuer-Motorradreisende gedacht, die sich nicht mit dem Fahren auf Asphalt begnügen und gerne auf unbefestigten Straßen unterwegs sind.

What does TCT – Trans Czech Trail look like?

The TCT route is divided into several sections, with each section being roughly a one-day trip. And depending on the circumstances – someone is able to ride 250 kilometers in a day without any problems, another rider, with a larger machine, with a different level of experience, will enjoy just one section in one day. The TCT will take you through the beauties of the Czech Republic relatively safely. With few and minor exceptions, it avoids protected areas. That is why the off-road portion is approximately 60%. Some sections of the route have a larger share of asphalt, some less – depending on the possibility of winding through protected areas. The route consists of sixteen sub-routes and primarily runs around the Czech Republic. It also includes two shortcuts that allow those interested to shorten the route from north to south (from south to north) and a route along the D1 motorway. In the north of the route there is a precise connection to TET Poland, 80 kilometers long.The TCT route is divided into 16 sections, which are color-coded above for the reader’s convenience. At the same time, on the other side of this article there is a link to a map of the nearest gas stations along the route. And a map of volunteers who will help you in case of technical problems.

Who is TCT intended for?

The TCT route is intended for riders on touring enduros and enduro motorcycles. The route was planned for large touring enduros and its passability has been verified by drivers of machines with a volume of 500+ cc. Therefore, it is passable even for touring enduros of higher and high cubic capacity. Most of the route is moderately difficult, with a few places (in the order of hundreds of meters) that are of medium difficulty. To ensure safe passage, it is intended for at least two motorcycles (two crews) so that the riders can help each other in the event of an unexpected machine stop. TCT is not limited by the equipment used. You can ride it on Babetta. Since most of the route is off-road, enduro tires are more than recommended. And by «enduro tires» we mean tires with a very rough pattern. Whereas tires like Continental TKC 80, Metzeler Karoo 3, or Mitas E09/E10 are the absolute minimum WHEN DRY. Up to hundreds of kilometers of the route are on meadows, where if it rains, you need to have good tires for safe passage. Ideally hard enduro (Mitas tires with the C marking and their analogues from other manufacturers). For large machines with 19 and 17″ wheels, then Michelin Anakee Wild tires, or similar with a similar pattern. I recommend equipping your motorcycle with folding mirrors. The route goes through many forest sections and there are certain places where you will literally ride on animal trails… so narrow that there is a risk of damaging your standard mirrors.

Route restrictions

There are many restrictions on the route. First of all, the rider should be aware of the fact that in the Czech Republic, off-road riding is strictly prohibited. (Off-road riding in the Czech Republic is prohibited and can be fined. Riding this trail is at your own risk.) If the ride is done through a forest road or path, it may be fined. If this happens to you, because the TCT avoids protected areas, the possible fine will not be high and may be in the order of hundreds of crowns. You ride the TCT route at your own risk. The route runs through nature and nature is a living organism. The route line is not a dogma, because fallen trees, flooded streams, collapsed bridges, logging, and the activities of people who are currently using the road can interfere with your path and you need to go around them. This will happen to you many times in 2000 kilometers. If you encounter an obstacle on the route, use your imagination, the map, and go around the obstacle using the surrounding roads. The TCT only runs along roads. Even when going around impassable sections, use the roads marked on the map. Barriers and road signs must be ignored to successfully complete the route. Entry bans are everywhere and barriers are numerous. All barriers on the route can be bypassed – unless this changes over time. In some places you will have to squeeze through narrow spots, which means you will have to remove your suitcases from the machine if they are too wide. Some roads are plowed by greedy farmers who want to make the most of every square meter. Sometimes even to the point that they plow their own roads and have to drive over their own radishes when harvesting cabbage. When checking the route, we even saw a farmer plow a blue tourist route. If there is no other way, drive along the profile of the plowed road. There are often marked paths along the edges of fields that farmers can also plow. Therefore, drive carefully along this field. On the route you may come across fences across the road, used for grazing cattle. The landowners have almost always been careful and have equipped the fence across the road with springs to open the fence. Don’t forget to close the fence again after you have left.

Complications on the route

In addition to obstacles on the route, you may also encounter complications in the form of muggles. Muggle = an uninitiated onlooker located on the route or along the route, who throws glances, words, branches, stones, or small animals and livestock at you. For a peaceful route, it is recommended to ignore muggles, especially if they indicate that you should stop them to tell you some valuable information. In this case, it is better not to stop and go around the muggle. The route is designed to avoid homes and gardens where Muggles spend their free time. Even so, it is possible that somewhere along the route a Muggle will create an obstacle in your path with their body and prevent you from passing. Therefore, it is recommended to use several solutions, depending on the estimated Muggle mood:

Behavior on the route

You should take into account that you are not alone on the route. The route is led along public roads and communications, on which there are people, vehicles and even forestry equipment. Therefore, when meeting people, it is appropriate to slow down, greet, wave and make them feel that someone they know, wearing a helmet, is passing by. You should be careful of mudlops, which may occasionally come out to greet your shoes. The same applies to horses, where it is recommended to turn off the engine and coast past them. Alternatively, stop, turn off the engine and allow the horses to pass calmly and without stress.The route is not one-way. You can drive it both clockwise and counterclockwise. Therefore, if the situation allows, drive on the right side of the road.

Accommodation, fuel, food

The TCT route passes as far away from civilization as possible and avoids towns and villages if possible. This means that civilization is within reach and it is therefore possible to get off the route for a while every day, do some shopping and refuel. The TCT can be ridden lightly with a backpack on your back and stay anywhere in guesthouses. For refueling, some gas stations are marked on the map along the route

Wenn du naher mit dem Töff unterwegs bist, kannst du deine Sachen ganz einfach selbst transportieren. Das ist wirklich sehr praktisch und du brauchst so nicht zu viel mitzunehmen.

Die Strecke führt auf direktem Weg Richtung Meer nach Genua. Von dort aus geht es weiter in Richtung des Monte Carlo und durch die französischen Südalpen in die Schweiz.
